Dyro is louder then ever right now and returns to Revealed Recordings for his second major release of the year. ‘Raid’ is a collaboration with fellow Dutchman Rene Kuppens and reached the number four spot on the Miami Buzz Chart. The tracks light synths formulate a pulsating beat that lead into a massive drop. Followed by a deep bassline and low end wobbles. This track will do wonders to a festival crowd!

Heavy Electro House Beat.

Nari & Milani made it clear they were for real upon their release of ‘Atom’. The hard hitting Electro Anthem is already one of the top selections of this years festival season and today they return with a remix of The Only’s track ‘Drag Me Down’. The Italian duo remix their Electro House bass with the original vocals to perfection! This one is worth your attention and do not lose track of Nari & Milani!

#musicislife has finally arrived! On Friday Dash Berlin released his brand new artist album #musicislife, aptly named after one of the most popular Twitter hash tags ever. Eelke Kalberg, Sebastiaan Molijn and front man Jeffrey Sutorius, have created yet another masterpiece, in the form of thirteen Trance Anthems. Dash Berlin’s, second artist album contains signature hits such as; ‘Disarm Yourself’, featuring the vocals of Australian singer Emma Hewitt, ‘Better Half Of Me’ and ‘World Falls Apart’, the two-part epic journey featuring top vocalist Jonathan Mendelsohn, and the magical Anthem ‘Apollo Road’ created with German superstar ATB. The album also contains new collaborations with,  Emma Hewitt, Shogun, Kate Walsh, Shanokee, Chris Madin, Hoyaa and Sarah Howells.

The thirteen track collection of Anthems is predominately vocal Trance. A trademark the Dutch trio has mastered since the release of their debut album, The New Daylight. The critically acclaimed debut album launched Dash Berlin on a meteoric rise to the Top 10 of the Worlds biggest DJs. Emotive Anthems like ‘Till The Sky Falls Down’, ‘Waiting’ (ASOT Track of 2009) and ‘Man On The Run’ touched the hearts of millions of listeners and are still regarded as some of the greatest Trance Anthems of all time.

Dash Berlin’s trademark has become so powerful that the trio has become known as the “King Of Vocal Trance” and #musicislife, extends that reputation. The partnership with Emma Hewitt continues in ‘Like Spinning Plates’. The former rock singer/songwriter’s voice is enhanced with a haunting piano riff, and the signature futuristic groove that Dash Berlin has become known for. Sutorious also reignites his relationship with Sarah Howells (Sutorious and Howells’ first track was ‘Believe In You’, released in 2009) in ‘Go It Alone’, one of the most euphoric Anthems on the album. Sutorious works closely with Chris Maden, Hoyaa, Shanokee, Shogun and begins a relationship with UK singer Kate Walsh. Walsh is not a newcomer to Trance and was featured in A State of Trance’s Track Of The Year in 2010, ‘Right Back’ by Yuri Kane. ‘When You Were Around’ is one of the deeper tracks on the album and reigns in the traditional Dash Berlin sound. The last track on the album is ‘Man On The Skyfire’. The infamous #dashup and unofficial ASOT: 550 Anthem that has been sending crowds into space, from Moscow to Miami.

#musicislife, will stand to be one of the greatest album releases in Armada Music history and exemplifies Dash Berlin’s ability to unite and move people through music. The following thirteen tracks lengthen the distance between Dash Berlin and the rest of the industry as the leader in Progressive Vocal Trance. If your looking for euphoric tracks, with energy and that deliver a, ‘forget-everything-around-you-on-the-dance-floor-and-just-sing-along’ feeling then this is your album!

I have been paying close attention to Project 46 since they started blowing up Soundcloud almost six months ago. The majority of the blog world including House Anthems tagged Project 46 as one of the top artists to watch in 2012. After the Canadian duo released their first Beatport EP, it was clear the talent, vision and drive was all in place. Their Limitless EP was a hit and instantly became a Beatport Top 10 Album release. All three tracks charted a spot in the Top 100. Today, Project 46 follows up their Anthemic release ‘Reasons’ (Released earlier this week) with one of the most stunning Progressive House tracks of the year. Layered synths, and formulaic builds and drops lead to a Deadmau5-level production.

It’s official Project 46 has exploded and their music is straight ecstasy!

Five days ago Project 46 released their Anthem, ‘Reasons feat. Andrew Allen’. Yes it’s a simple melody, but the duo develops it too perfection. Allen’s vocals accompanied by well structured builds and a raw grand piano have driven this Anthem all the way to the number two spot on Beatport’s Top 100 Chart.

‘Slide’ was the first track to attract my attention and was featured on the Limitless EP.

You should all be extremely familiar with the Axwell remix of ‘In My Mind’, now its time for the original! The original mix provides even bigger chords, bigger synths, and even deeper sound. It is known Axwell had a hand in the overall production of this track, however after hearing the original mix, it is clear Feenixpawl and club maestro Ivan Gough are the true minds behind the Anthem. The stunning rises, graceful drops and hard-hitting shell of this bold track, will ring in your ears for the remainder of 2012 and beyond. ‘In My Mind’ pinpoints the modus operandi that has engulfed EDM over the past year.

My obsession has shifted.

Avesta hit the scene hard with ‘Dutchano’ and then answered  with ‘Arena’. A track with enough prestige to land a spot on Tiesto’s Club Life Volume Two : Miami. Yesterday, Avesta continued his roll through 2012 with the release of ‘Rollin’ on Laidback Luke’s Mixmash Records. ‘Rollin’ is dynamic track loaded with heavy progressive chords and electro synths and LBL influence.

Notorious for sophisticated programming, larger than life DJ sets and one of the most technically sound producers, Adam Walder better known as Funkagenda, returns with ‘Deck 9’. ‘Deck 9’ was released Tuesday as a Beatport exclusive, on Funk Farm. Funk Farm has proven an integral home not only for Europe’s next generation of talent, but his own well crafted dance weapons. ‘Deck 9’ is dedicated to the World’s largest floating dance music festival, that is annually attended by the sexiest fans and globally renowned DJs. The Groove Cruise9 doesn’t depart until next January, but Funkagenda has already claimed the official Anthem. The excursion includes 72 hours of non-stop music and a trip to a private island in the Bahamas.

Another rich sound with melodic arrangements, reassuring that Funkagenda is still a landmark in British House music.

I have mentioned before how influential Podcasts can be in discovering new music. Our new East coast partners, The Drop, return with their extremely popular bi-weekly Podcast. As always they deliver the freshest EDM tracks of the moment, including the Funkagenda Anthem ‘Deck 9’. The second half of the famed mix is normally reserved for new mixing talent. However this week, The Drop has dedicated it in the spirit of celebration, too New York landing it’s first ever EDC!

The releases and remix package for ‘You & I’ came earlier this month. The track features the unmistakable vocal talent of Erik Hecht. The well renowned vocalist, responsible for the Dirty South Anthem – ‘Walking Alone’.  She Can DJ winner, Minx, who spent the early months of 2012 jetsetting the globe as the official spinner at the seriously A-list after parties hosted by EMI. Nordean’s intimate knowledge of machines, and gift of musical theory. The remix package received most of the attention, as the original came and went. Ken Loi lead the way, with an emotive take on the original, but the most impressive spin came from  Goodwill. Don’t miss this Anthem twice.

Vocal Progressive Anthem.

Tuesday was the official North American release date of  Tiësto‘s Club Life Volume Two: Miami. The supersatr DJ returned to his Club Life mantra, this time taking his talents to South beach. The new mix album is the second installment in Tiësto’s exciting club life series and is inspired by one of the Worlds premier dance music cities, Miami.

The album also includes originals from John Dahlback, Avesta, John De Sohn, Sultan & Ned Shepard, and probably the biggest track of them all, a Swanky Tunes collaboration. Tiësto’s offering is intended to give fans the full Miami experience whether they have been or not.

In its entirety, Club Life Volume Two: Miami is the perfect representation of not only Tiësto’s sound, but the current pulse of EDM. There compilation is excellent mix of new and old, easy-listening, harder house, vocals and instrumentals. It also demonstrates Tiësto’s ability to remain at the forefront of electronic dance music. Enjoy!

Size Records newcomers Qulinez established themselves earlier this year with the release of the massive Anthem ‘Troll’. The Pete Tong certified winter Anthem was heard in every set and every podcast throughout the first quarter and made it as high as the number four spot on Beatports Progressive House chart. Now they return to the forefront with a remix of ‘A Heavy Abacus’, a single from the Welsh alternative group The Joy Formidable. The remix was premiered by Tiesto at UMF and has been in high demand ever since. Qulinez’s brings an elegant array of melodic leads alongside their unobtainable signature synths. This is the monster capable of topping ‘Troll’! ‘A Heavy Abacus (Qulinez Remix)’ was released today on Atlantic Records.
