#musicislife has finally arrived! On Friday Dash Berlin released his brand new artist album #musicislife, aptly named after one of the most popular Twitter hash tags ever. Eelke Kalberg, Sebastiaan Molijn and front man Jeffrey Sutorius, have created yet another masterpiece, in the form of thirteen Trance Anthems. Dash Berlin’s, second artist album contains signature hits such as; ‘Disarm Yourself’, featuring the vocals of Australian singer Emma Hewitt, ‘Better Half Of Me’ and ‘World Falls Apart’, the two-part epic journey featuring top vocalist Jonathan Mendelsohn, and the magical Anthem ‘Apollo Road’ created with German superstar ATB. The album also contains new collaborations with,  Emma Hewitt, Shogun, Kate Walsh, Shanokee, Chris Madin, Hoyaa and Sarah Howells.

The thirteen track collection of Anthems is predominately vocal Trance. A trademark the Dutch trio has mastered since the release of their debut album, The New Daylight. The critically acclaimed debut album launched Dash Berlin on a meteoric rise to the Top 10 of the Worlds biggest DJs. Emotive Anthems like ‘Till The Sky Falls Down’, ‘Waiting’ (ASOT Track of 2009) and ‘Man On The Run’ touched the hearts of millions of listeners and are still regarded as some of the greatest Trance Anthems of all time.

Dash Berlin’s trademark has become so powerful that the trio has become known as the “King Of Vocal Trance” and #musicislife, extends that reputation. The partnership with Emma Hewitt continues in ‘Like Spinning Plates’. The former rock singer/songwriter’s voice is enhanced with a haunting piano riff, and the signature futuristic groove that Dash Berlin has become known for. Sutorious also reignites his relationship with Sarah Howells (Sutorious and Howells’ first track was ‘Believe In You’, released in 2009) in ‘Go It Alone’, one of the most euphoric Anthems on the album. Sutorious works closely with Chris Maden, Hoyaa, Shanokee, Shogun and begins a relationship with UK singer Kate Walsh. Walsh is not a newcomer to Trance and was featured in A State of Trance’s Track Of The Year in 2010, ‘Right Back’ by Yuri Kane. ‘When You Were Around’ is one of the deeper tracks on the album and reigns in the traditional Dash Berlin sound. The last track on the album is ‘Man On The Skyfire’. The infamous #dashup and unofficial ASOT: 550 Anthem that has been sending crowds into space, from Moscow to Miami.

#musicislife, will stand to be one of the greatest album releases in Armada Music history and exemplifies Dash Berlin’s ability to unite and move people through music. The following thirteen tracks lengthen the distance between Dash Berlin and the rest of the industry as the leader in Progressive Vocal Trance. If your looking for euphoric tracks, with energy and that deliver a, ‘forget-everything-around-you-on-the-dance-floor-and-just-sing-along’ feeling then this is your album!

Disfunktion has been busy lately producing remixes/bootlegs, and gaining support from players such as; Dash Berlin, Ferry Corsten and Tietso. Their latest endeavor is the Trance Anthem released by Dabruck & Klein featuring Ann McDonald.  The dutch duo combines catchy chords, a synth laden drop, and pounding drums. Accented beautifully by Anna McDonald’s vocals. ‘All About You’ proves that this duo can craft a good melody. The break down at 3:20 is straight flooring!

Disfunktion was also the honored guest on this weeks, The Drop. The Drop is a bi-weekly podcast, that features the latest, carefully mixed progressive house, electro and dubstep tunes from around the world. Your hosts Brett Schupack and Matan Segal, deliver relevant commentary about the electronic music industry, culture, and its global artists. The crew out of Philadelphia has been making noise since late December and has already gained some serious levels of attention. In addition they have hosted guest mixes from Kastra, House Anthems favorite Aylen and of course this weeks host, Disfunktion. I strongly recommend taking the next hour to listen to some of the freshest tracks out right now, many of which you heard first right here on HouseAnthems. It delivers everything you crave EDM!

Dash Berlin tags Sara Howells once again in his new single ‘Go It Alone’. Not many words need to be said about this pair or his new release. ‘Go It Alone’ is another ‘forget-everything-around-you-on-the-dance-floor-and-just-sing-along’ track. The Anthem is taken from Dash Berlin’s 2nd artist album, #musicislife, set to be released at the end of the month.
“Whenever Dash and Sarah Howells work together the universe seems to bend a little to create new space for electrifying beauty.”

Another Anthem from the king of vocal Trance!

Where would we be without Dash Berlin TV. The official music video for ‘Go It Alone’.

Fresh off their wildly successful Group Therapy Miami party, Above & Beyond has released the Love Is Not Enough EP featuring Zoë Johnston. ‘Love Is Not’ is classic A&B. An elegant, melodic progressive Anthem with poignant vocals from  Zoë Johnston. Track and the official music video, capture the bittersweet beauty of an intense, but ultimately unsuccessful relationship perfectly. ‘Love Is Not Enough’  is the latest single from Above & Beyond’s critically acclaimed Group Therapy album, which Mixmag deemed the “Artist album of the year” for 2011.

Adding stadium-sized energy to the original is Above & Beyond’s own Club Mix. It has received positive responses on the groups North America tour, and was arguably the Anthem of  Group Therapy, Miami. It is impossible to not be an admiring fan of Above & Beyond

The rest of the EP includes remixes from; Kaskade,  Mat Zo under his drum & bass guise MRZO,  rising stars Maor Levi & Bluestone and bass/electronic producer Syknro.

Above & Beyond sold out the Hollywood Palladium in record time last year and will return the the prestigious Shrine Auditorium on May 17, 18 & 19th. Tickets have already sold out for the first two nights.

Ajunabeats leads the industry in music television.

‘The Fusion’ by Omnia & IRA is a track that gained some admirable attention. The Trance Anthem is featured on Armin Van Buuren’s A State of Trance 2012 compilation as well as Markus Schulz Los Angeles ’12 album. The Anthem has been slotted in both Armin and Schulz’s sets throughout the past year and was frequently dropped during the ASOT 550: world tour. With the massive support of the two heavy weight DJs mentioned above and already cited as one of the top tracks of the year, this Anthem is a must download.

Before ‘RIA’, Angger Dimas dropped ‘Release Me’ on Vicious Records. Dimas went with a progressive theme this time. Angger Dimas’s signature synths, blended with Polina’s vocals, and a hard hitting breakdown, give this track a “Hands-in-the-air” feel.

‘Release Me’ was fan tested as Angger Dimas Smashed his way across North America on the Deadmeat Tour, alongside Steve Aoki and Datsik. Remixes from Vandalism and MaRlo seal the deal

Dutch trance producer Mark Sixma comes through with a beauty and Amba Shepherd’s vocals are nothing short of mesmerizing.  Tracks like these are the reason why I love trance.  Shepherd was recently featured on Ferry Corsten’s “Walk on Air,” off his new WKND album, but the reason she probably sounds familiar to most of you is because of her work with Porter Robinson on his Spitfire EP (“Vandalism”).  Enjoy!

Pixl (not to be confused with Pixel Cheese) adds a little more bass and capitalizes on those sexy vocals…
