#musicislife has finally arrived! On Friday Dash Berlin released his brand new artist album #musicislife, aptly named after one of the most popular Twitter hash tags ever. Eelke Kalberg, Sebastiaan Molijn and front man Jeffrey Sutorius, have created yet another masterpiece, in the form of thirteen Trance Anthems. Dash Berlin’s, second artist album contains signature hits such as; ‘Disarm Yourself’, featuring the vocals of Australian singer Emma Hewitt, ‘Better Half Of Me’ and ‘World Falls Apart’, the two-part epic journey featuring top vocalist Jonathan Mendelsohn, and the magical Anthem ‘Apollo Road’ created with German superstar ATB. The album also contains new collaborations with,  Emma Hewitt, Shogun, Kate Walsh, Shanokee, Chris Madin, Hoyaa and Sarah Howells.

The thirteen track collection of Anthems is predominately vocal Trance. A trademark the Dutch trio has mastered since the release of their debut album, The New Daylight. The critically acclaimed debut album launched Dash Berlin on a meteoric rise to the Top 10 of the Worlds biggest DJs. Emotive Anthems like ‘Till The Sky Falls Down’, ‘Waiting’ (ASOT Track of 2009) and ‘Man On The Run’ touched the hearts of millions of listeners and are still regarded as some of the greatest Trance Anthems of all time.

Dash Berlin’s trademark has become so powerful that the trio has become known as the “King Of Vocal Trance” and #musicislife, extends that reputation. The partnership with Emma Hewitt continues in ‘Like Spinning Plates’. The former rock singer/songwriter’s voice is enhanced with a haunting piano riff, and the signature futuristic groove that Dash Berlin has become known for. Sutorious also reignites his relationship with Sarah Howells (Sutorious and Howells’ first track was ‘Believe In You’, released in 2009) in ‘Go It Alone’, one of the most euphoric Anthems on the album. Sutorious works closely with Chris Maden, Hoyaa, Shanokee, Shogun and begins a relationship with UK singer Kate Walsh. Walsh is not a newcomer to Trance and was featured in A State of Trance’s Track Of The Year in 2010, ‘Right Back’ by Yuri Kane. ‘When You Were Around’ is one of the deeper tracks on the album and reigns in the traditional Dash Berlin sound. The last track on the album is ‘Man On The Skyfire’. The infamous #dashup and unofficial ASOT: 550 Anthem that has been sending crowds into space, from Moscow to Miami.

#musicislife, will stand to be one of the greatest album releases in Armada Music history and exemplifies Dash Berlin’s ability to unite and move people through music. The following thirteen tracks lengthen the distance between Dash Berlin and the rest of the industry as the leader in Progressive Vocal Trance. If your looking for euphoric tracks, with energy and that deliver a, ‘forget-everything-around-you-on-the-dance-floor-and-just-sing-along’ feeling then this is your album!

I have been paying close attention to Project 46 since they started blowing up Soundcloud almost six months ago. The majority of the blog world including House Anthems tagged Project 46 as one of the top artists to watch in 2012. After the Canadian duo released their first Beatport EP, it was clear the talent, vision and drive was all in place. Their Limitless EP was a hit and instantly became a Beatport Top 10 Album release. All three tracks charted a spot in the Top 100. Today, Project 46 follows up their Anthemic release ‘Reasons’ (Released earlier this week) with one of the most stunning Progressive House tracks of the year. Layered synths, and formulaic builds and drops lead to a Deadmau5-level production.

It’s official Project 46 has exploded and their music is straight ecstasy!

Five days ago Project 46 released their Anthem, ‘Reasons feat. Andrew Allen’. Yes it’s a simple melody, but the duo develops it too perfection. Allen’s vocals accompanied by well structured builds and a raw grand piano have driven this Anthem all the way to the number two spot on Beatport’s Top 100 Chart.

‘Slide’ was the first track to attract my attention and was featured on the Limitless EP.

Disfunktion has been busy lately producing remixes/bootlegs, and gaining support from players such as; Dash Berlin, Ferry Corsten and Tietso. Their latest endeavor is the Trance Anthem released by Dabruck & Klein featuring Ann McDonald.  The dutch duo combines catchy chords, a synth laden drop, and pounding drums. Accented beautifully by Anna McDonald’s vocals. ‘All About You’ proves that this duo can craft a good melody. The break down at 3:20 is straight flooring!

Disfunktion was also the honored guest on this weeks, The Drop. The Drop is a bi-weekly podcast, that features the latest, carefully mixed progressive house, electro and dubstep tunes from around the world. Your hosts Brett Schupack and Matan Segal, deliver relevant commentary about the electronic music industry, culture, and its global artists. The crew out of Philadelphia has been making noise since late December and has already gained some serious levels of attention. In addition they have hosted guest mixes from Kastra, House Anthems favorite Aylen and of course this weeks host, Disfunktion. I strongly recommend taking the next hour to listen to some of the freshest tracks out right now, many of which you heard first right here on HouseAnthems. It delivers everything you crave EDM!

I hope your not sick of this song yet, because it just got HUGE, again. Tiesto has just awarded us with his remix of the Gotye hit. Tiesto was the only official re-mixer recruited by Gotye and the following 4:33 illustrate exactly why. Tiesto’s big synths pound away giving the track an extra large feel as Tiesto brings Kimbra’s vocals slowly to the fore of the mix. This may be one of the biggest remixes of the year and it will be heard everywhere all summer long!

Tiesto’s remix will be officially released April 24th, on Club Life Volume Two Miami.

Ken Loi and Erik Hecht is a recipe for goodness. From Progressive House to Trance, no matter what the San Fran native remixes it always turns out to be a major gem. This time Loi takes on ‘You & I’. A track from two newcomers making their way out of Australia. The original, produced by Minx & Nordean, is a dreamy feel-good Progressive tune accompanied by Hecht’s smooth vocals. Ken Loi reliably adds the “Big room” sound.

London’s very own Alex Metric just dropped off his new EP, titled Ammunition.  The 3 track set is eclectic and creative. Metric pulls in aspects from all different corners of the electronic genre. Leaving you with 3 very different tracks that will ignite 3 very different feelings. Looking for pulsing bass? Then lead off single, ‘Rave Weapon’ will be your choice. ‘Anybody Else’ is the funky groove-a-tone dance Anthem of the summer and ‘Epichords’ is simply synth madness. The EP was released for free via Mike Snow’s label Robotberget. Visit Alexmetric.com for more info.

The new collaboration between Chris Lake and Lazy Rich was debuted by Pete Tong’s on BBC 1 radio show last month. It is the fusion of Chris Lake’s progressive tone and Lazy Rich’s hard Electro, almost Complextro style. Add some aggressive vocals from Jareth and your listening to an Anthem that stands alone!
