Anthem Alert! ‘All By Myself’ was produced and created by two brothers, Victor and Stephan Leicher from the Netherlands. They roll under the alias DubVision and their first release has been featured on Tiesto’s Club Life, David Guetta’s Fuck Me I’m Famous, Arty’s Essential Mix and played live by Axwell and Matise & Sadko. ‘All By Myself’ was officially released today on Beatport via Spinnin’ Records and will definitely make its way onto the Progressive House charts. A catchy theme, vocal sampling from a Moby Original, and a massive breakdown all accompany this Anthem!

Prepare for a hands in the air moment.

Well, needless to say, GO VENTURES BLEW IT.  If you’re not from the Southern California region and up-to-date on the news of Monster Massive being cancelled, let us fill you in….

Monster Massive this year was slated to be the most extravagant yet, with names like Nero, Eric Morillo, Zeds Dead, Caspa, and Moby.  The main attraction, however, was Armin’s beloved ‘Armin Only: Mirage,’ to be seen for the first and only time in the US.  The infamous 9-hour set featuring live performances and mind-blowing choreographed visuals will now have to wait.

Go Ventures, the promoters behind the 14th Annual Monster Massive, had trouble finding a venue right from the beginning.  They tried the traditional LA Coliseum but due to the Coliseum Committee and a USC/Stanford football game that same day, they were denied.  The same process played out multiple times.  Anaheim Convention Center? No.  Home Depot Center? No.  They even showed Armin the Port of Los Angeles to ensure he signed.  Oak Canyon Park in Silverado soon became their last option.

When rumors started flying around, Go Ventures was quick to reassure everyone that the event was indeed on, and that the location was secured.  James Events Productions (the production team in charge of Oak Canyon) eventually posted a statement on their website saying that Monster Massive was in no way being held at Oak Canyon Park and that all attendees will be turned away at the gate.  A number of statements were traded back and forth until the inevitable happened.

The Monster Massive website read:

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, and with great disappointment, Go Ventures announces that this year’s Monster Massive scheduled for October 29, 2011 has been cancelled.”

Armin released this statement:

“Sorry to keep so many of you in the dark regarding my Armin Only event date in LA, but we wanted to be sure of the date before we spoke to you. I understand any anger or upset, but I hope you all understand that I am completely devastated by this cancellation. I’ve never cancelled an Armin Only show before so I’m very upset to have to now. I hope I will see as many of you as possible in the near future”.

As far as I’m concerned, Go Ventures is done.  How can you promise such high-profile DJs and so many people a show that was in no way ever locked down?  Potential ticket buyers will always be skeptical from here on out about buying tickets to Go Ventures events and the reputation that they now have amongst DJs and artists is horrible.  This is not exactly the most opportune time to make such a giant mistake.  Insomniac, Inc. is pumping on all cylinders and they now have an even larger pool to draw from.  Lawsuits, loss of ticket sales, bankruptcy.  Whatever the consequences, they’re well deserved.  Good luck Reza.

To lighten the spirits a little, here is a mind-blowing track from BT & Adam K that was recently featured on Armin’s ‘Universal Religion: Chapter 5.’  I could listen to this thing 100 times in a row and probably still want more.  Enjoy!

Although he may have peaked in the 90s, Moby is a legend in the EDM world.  Having sold over 20 million albums worldwide and playing a prominent role in bringing electronic music to the mainstream, he will always be well respected and his tracks will always cause a still.  Here Tommy Trash and Tim Mason remix a track off of Moby’s latest album ‘Destroyed,’ released this past May…

Bassjackers, who are coming off their summer anthem ‘Mush, Mush,’ throw out something quite similar. A hard hitting track that will rock the dancefloors.
Miles Dyson, the maker of I-tune (which could be one of the hardest drops I’ve heard in an electro-banger), comes out with a great edit of Mord Fustang’s Lick The Rainbow. I actually might prefer this one to the original.
We once again have another remix of ‘Save the World Tonight,’ this time by Steve Angello’s little brother A21 and his partner in crime Max Vangelli, who throw a total big-room sound to the track

Wow Moby its been awhile and have I missed you. His music is timeless and so so pure. Check out what Basto!, Belgium’s fastest rising star did with ‘The Day’. Great vocals, synths and a little piano make this track an instant Anthem. Enjoy!

New Years is coming fast. With so many electric options on the west coast its a tough decision. The House Anthems crew is trying to trek it to Vegas, to catch Tiesto’s opening night as a resident DJ at the Joint at Hard Rock and obviously cause Vegas will be nuts that weekend. Second option, keep it local and hit up the Del Mar fairgrounds for an “Epic NYE”. Heres one great reason to join San Diegans and eventvibe for 2011, AFROJACK.

Also on the ticket Ferry Corsten and newly added MOBY

For tickets to Epic NYE visit Eventvibe. Or look for groups on facebook related to this event. Eventvibe is notorious for giving out free passes leading up to the night.
