I know I promised some nasty wobbles on Friday but the weekend got the best of me. Before I knew it, it was Monday and I was waking up with a hangover. After the full release of the EDC lineup on Saturday, I changed things around from what I had originally planned. Consider this a small tribute to the best three days of wobbles to hit the Western United States.
Who else would I start with other then the Doctor. This unreleased track is a step back towards the original sounds of dubstep. Track is smooth, nice melody and has plenty of bass to kick your system. Don’t miss the Doc. in the BassPOD, Sunday from 12:45-1:45
Feed Me has been off to a great start since his first Ep Feed Me’s Big Adventure and its only going to continue. A pretty solid spot in the lineup at the NeonGARDEN on Saturday from 10:00-11:00 should also help. Saturday’s lineup is the weakest unless Insomniac can fill one of those TBA spots at KineticFIELD, with a Kaskade or bigger. If not there is no reason not to be posted in the Garden from 9:00-1:30 for; Porter Robinson, Feed Me, Hardwell, and Bart B More.Then dash to the BassPOD for Rusko, then back for the end of Jack Beats and Skrillex. Zeds Dead will be closing things out from 3:30-4:15 at the BassPOD and Saturday. Their wobbly electro will be keeping the desert hot even at twilight. A lot of the dubstep tracks released these days are sporting hip hop. Some good, some bad and then theres tracks like this one that crush it. Zeds Dead will shut it down, don’t miss. RUUUUDDDDEEEEE BOOOOOYYYYY!
Never paid much attention to Borgore, maybe I should start. Borgore’s Delicious EP dropped earlier this week and features some of the freshest dubstep to hit my speakers. More hip hop samples, this time brit style. Just in case your not into that, each track was released with an instrumental copy as well. However I highly recommend this vocal copy. “Oh My God” it’s The Juggernaut. Released on the Ep More Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites, check the Juggernaut’s remix of ‘Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites’. Can’t touch Kaskade’s, oversion. One of the greatest remixes ever? Definitely top 10. But since Ryan Raddon still isn’t on the bill, settle for the real thing during Skrillex’s set, Saturday at the NeonGARDEN from 3:00-4:30 or this version at the BassPOD with The Juggernaut from 8:00-8:40.
Datsik + Excision in one, check it. Shits heavy and super tough, as the title infers. Wobbles that will make your teeth hurt. Excision tears it up Friday night following Borgore at the BassPOD from 12:30-1:30. Make sure you have something left in the tank for Datsik on Sunday. He takes over from 11:45-12:45 right before Doctor P.
Remember how HUGE this song was last year at this time? Definitely a summer Anthem of 2010, that I hope you didn’t forget about. This was released on Rusko’s debut album OMG last July. Rusko has been on a war path ever since. This weeks classic ‘Hold On (Feat. Amber Coffman)’. Rusko will be performing at the BassPOD from 1:30-2:30.
