Delta Heavy is back with the heavy sound that has made them famous. After their brief reprieve with the chiller side of Dubstep, the UK duo returns with a remix of, Rita Ora’s track ‘R.I.P.’ ‘R.I.P.’ was originally written by Drake and produced by Chase & Status and has all the elements necessary for a perfect Dubstep remix. Ben Hall and Simon James, take the original to the next level, with what we can now label, Delta Heavy’s “signature sound”.

Music to rage too. This track RIPS.

Here we are at the conclusion of our Best Of 2011 series. Hope you had as much fun as we did reliving the incredible music of 2011!

A few of these you’ll definitely recognize, but a couple of them flew somewhat under the radar.  We’ll admit it, we have a little bias towards the ‘The Way We See The World’ video due to our cameo, but it’s still an epic short nonetheless.  Overall it seems artists have really stepped up their video production budgets this past year.

4. Swedish House Mafia vs. Knife Party – Antidote (Official Video)

Yeah baby! Diplo just threw down 50 mins of hard hitting moombahton! Man this crap is spreading quickly, especially amongst the Mad Decent homies. Gotta love the new style.

Stay tune for Dillon Francis’ remix to Chase and Status’ “Hitz.” It’s gonna be HUGE, and you know where to find it first don’t you…

Been lagging on the Dub Overloads, but good tunes come to those who wait. Some pretty nasty mid week wobbles for the bass fans.

It’s been a long time since Joker has released any original work. So get pumped on this new single and a full length album in the near. Joker’s new track ‘The Vision’ is that classic soulful dub now heard as “underground dubstep”, ever since brostep has taken over the airwaves. Long drawn out bass and video game synths. Stick with Joker, I’m positive he will take you in the right direction.
Fuck you Milan give the monster his shit back. This was a recent UKF dubstep youtube upload, so I’m going to assume its legit. Skrillex plus the critically acclaimed rap, grime and dubstep group Foreign Beggars out of London. Fresh.
Still Gettin It (Ft. Foreign Beggars) – Skrillex
Noisia delivers again with this massive remix of ‘Raise Your Weapon’. Noisia keeps it real keeping the intro pretty mellow just like the original. Then blows the roof off. Turn up the volume.

Tracks blowing up the blogosphere today. Check this bass infused remix of Biggie’s classic ‘Gimmie The Loot’. Superginger is from Stockholm, Sweden and is making waves in the dubstep scene. Reminiscent of Minnesota, Superginger compliments Biggie’s lyrics well. Goodness Gracious, Give me the papers, track is flowin’. For more from Superginger check him out on Soundcloud.
Gimme The Loot (Superginger Dubstep Remix) – Notorious B.I.G.

The duo known as Chasing Shadows, have taken Spor’s original and filthed it up with some angry bass and snappy synths. Smooth vocal sampling packed with nasty noise.
Pacifica (Chasing Shadows Remix) – Spor

Welcome to the future and welcome Calverton. Your going to think this is some iry dub at first. Ha, just wait. House Anthems is a huge fan of any artist who describes their genre as “Bass Music”.

Future Proof (Original Mix) – Calvertron

Sorry but I can’t get enough of this song and the remixes keep pouring in. Track reminds me of the best of times. Need some more of that Sahara tent bass. Rocket Pimp destroys this track great remix, add it to the rest.
Time (Rocket Pimp Remix) – Chase & Status ft. Delilah

Consider this the classic of the week. Just because its at the bottom of the post, don’t think its not quality. Butch Clancy has to be one of the best dubstep remix artists in the game. Dirty, dirty southern style with Lynyrd Skynyrd. Wow has music changed since the 70’s.

Simple Man (Butch Clancy Remix) – Lynyrd Skynyrd

The Dub Overload Collection:
#10 – All Night Ft John B (Skream Remix) – Jack Beats
#9 – Gifted (Masuka Dubstep Remix) – N.A.S.A.
#8 – Massive – Emalkay
#7 – XX Booty (Minnesota RMX) – Sander Van Doorn
#6 – Rearrange (Skreamix) – Miles Kane
#5 – The Forgotten – Millions Like Us
#4 – Dream (Evidence & Sageone Dubstep Remix) – Popcaan
#3 – Guilt – Nero ft. Alana
#2 – Wake Up Call (Datsik Remix) – Sidney Samson & Steve Aoki

Was burnt out all last week after Coachella. Sahara tent definitely did some long term damage to my hearing, but I’m not complaining. Well worth it. Back on track with another weekly Dub Overload for you bass heads. Here we go…

Zip It – Dub Overload #10
Skream may not always deliver live, but he’s studio work is some of the greatest most classic dubstep out there. This is a remix of a remix. The Jack Beats Anthem ‘Up All Night’ is a pretty solid electro banger, but I felt it never went anywhere. Skream laid the hammer down. Big drops. If you missed Skream & Bengas latest episode of In New DJs We Trust, check it out HERE. An hour of great dubstep

Little bit behind on this release from Vaski. ‘Storm Chaser’ was released back in the beginning of April along with a pretty nasty Cold Blank Remix. Its a disturbing 4:51 of indescribable destructive sound. Sticking to theme (Weather) and Vaski, I’m also posting ‘Hurricane’. This track is a little more tolerable. According to Vaski, “The beatport preview on this track was messed up and it never got the exposure it deserved. Whenever I play it out, that shit goes OFF.” Scoop ’em both.

Storm Chaser (Original Mix) – Vaski

Hurricane – Vaski
Datsik’s ‘Firepower’ was officially released earlier this week. But today is about the Levela remix. Tracks real strong and real filthy. Quoting Datsik’s Myspace “If you don’t know Datsik by now, you best be learning.” This is true.
Firepower (Levela Remix) – Datsik
I’m obsessed with this song and Chase & Status ever since Coachella. The duo from London killed it on Sunday and seeing Delilah live, getting down with the wobbles was an added perk. I posted a remix from their competition by the Secret Lemon Project back in Dub Overload #8. I’m feeling this remix as well. Blackmill killed it on one the best Ellie Goulding remixes ever, ‘Your Song’. Give them and Delilah another chance.
Time (Blackmill Remix) – Chase and Status Feat. Delilah
Far Too Loud remixes Millions Like Us. Never heard the original ‘Don’t Let Go’ but I’m going to assume its a banger. Track has that hybrid house dubstep vibe thats growing in popularity and some pretty solid vocals.
Don’t Let Go (Far Too Loud Remix) – Millions Like Us
Going to start adding in a classic with these posts. This week its Pendelum’s ‘Set Me On Fire’. San Diego, Pendelum will be taking over Voyeur tonight with a DJ set. For tickets/Info check out the Facebook Page. Los Angeles, you get your turn tomorrow night at the Avalon. For discounted tickets and a guest list hit up our friends over at High Bird Productions. Song is Sikkk!
Set Me On Fire – Pendulum

Alright bass heads its that time of week again. Time to make your brain hurt a little… No particular order.
Zip It – Dub Overload #8
Emalkay is a very talented producer and by far one of my favorites. He is the running with Nero, as far as pure traditional dubstep goes. Emalkay has released some solid tracks already this year including this track. The title describes it best MASSIVE. Straight floored head bobbing material.

Adventure Club has been featured on a dub overload in the past with a track called ‘Daisy’. They have this trademark noise that is absolutely destructive. Great smooth vocal samples in the beginning and then it takes off to another level.
Sunlight (Adventure Club Dubstep Remix) – Diana Vickers

This track was uploaded by UKF dubstep on youtube earlier this week. Pretty filthy drop at the one minute mark and I can’t deny the vocals of Elliot Johnson Gleave, better known as Example. Mensah is out of Bristol, so you know he is legit and surrounded by some of the best in the game.
Changed The Way You Kiss Me (Mensah Remix) – Example

Chase & Status held a remix competition for their tune ‘Time ft. Delilah’. There were over a thousand entries and this one stood out to me. Secret Lemon Project did a great job of maintaining the original beat. The winner was announced on Sunday and unfortunately it wasn’t the Secret Lemon Project, but this is still a pretty fresh track. Check out the winner and runners up on Chase & Status’s official site HERE. The winners will be released in a digital bundle on itunes soon. Watch for it on HouseAnthems in the near.
Time (Secret Lemon Project Remix) – Chase & Status

I think I have voiced my opinion before about rock songs remixed for the house genre. This one is a bit of a stretch, but luckily Love & Light didn’t fuck up one of the greatest Red Hot songs of all time. They managed to keep things pretty simple and threw down some solid vocal samples from none other then Anthony Kiedis. Solid bass and drops.
Can’t Stop (Love & Light Dubstep Remix) – Red Hot Chili Peppers

I posted a full HQ version of Nero’s – Guilt yesterday, if you missed it get it HERE. SoCal Nero will be playing with Doorly as part of Control Fridays on April 22nd at the Avalon. Show is going to be madness, Avalon has one of the best systems I have ever experienced get your tickets today HERE.
